The points system analyses language skills, professional experience, age, and connection to Germany. Basic requirements include language proficiency and financial stability, provided by an employment contract for part-time work.

  • Four points are awarded for partial recognition of foreign professional qualifications or permission to practice controlled professions such as engineering or teaching.
