Vice President, Information Technology of Corporate Applications
Job Summary
The Vice President of Information Technology of Corporate Applications is a senior executive responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of all corporate applications within the enterprise
The role reports to the CIO within the global IT organization and leads the IT teams responsible for applications technology services supporting Finance, HR, Legal, and XScale
The role is part of the CIO executive leadership team. It will collaborate with internal IT teams, functional stakeholders, external vendors, and service providers to deliver and modernize application technology platforms
The role partners with functional stakeholders, IT teams and partners to drive the technology strategy for corporate functions in alignment with IT and Business priorities
This role requires a technologist who possesses extensive functional domain expertise, executive stakeholder relationship management skills, industry knowledge, execution excellence, a delivery mindset, a commitment to continuous improvement and efficiency, and exceptional IT team leadership and communication skills
In addition to executing on strategic business priorities, the role requires leadership skills to transform and modernize service delivery within IT, implementing a product operating model and agile execution
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy for corporate applications that aligns with the company's overall business objectives
Drive innovation by staying abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure the enterprise leverages the most effective solutions
Collaborate with senior leadership to identify and prioritize technology initiatives to enhance business performance
Business Collaboration
Partner with business leaders across various departments to understand and translate their needs into technical requirements and solutions
Facilitate effective communication between IT and other business units to ensure alignment and support for corporate objectives
Drive user adoption and satisfaction through effective change management, training, and support
Team Leadership
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of IT professionals, including application developers, system analysts, and support staff
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, professional growth, and collaboration within the IT department
Ensure effective resource allocation and project management to meet business needs and deadlines
Application Management
Oversee the lifecycle management of corporate applications, including selection, implementation, upgrades, and maintenance
Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of all corporate applications
Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effective solutions and services
Operational Excellence
Implement and manage IT governance processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, data security standards, and corporate policies
Develop and manage budgets for corporate application projects and operations, ensuring cost efficiency and financial accountability
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor and report on the effectiveness and efficiency of corporate applications
Risk Management
Identify potential risks related to corporate applications and develop mitigation strategies
Ensure disaster recovery and business continuity plans are in place and regularly tested
Qualifications
15+ years of IT Enterprise Applications experience at a high-growth tech company, with a record of excellence of delivery in service to strategic business objectives
In-depth knowledge of ERP, CRM, HR, and financial processes and systems, familiarity with modern software development methodologies, and substantial experience in designing, building, and successfully deploying cloud and integrated technology solutions to production
knowledge of Oracle finance technology platforms (Oracle cloud ERP experience will be a plus), Workday, ServiceNow, Anaplan, and equivalent applications
High energy with executive presence and demonstrated success in building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, influencing and collaborating in cross-functional, highly matrixed environments.
Strong listening, empathy, and effective response to business and IT context clearly articulate a vision and plan
Thought leader, out of box thinker with the ability to creatively solve problems with limited resources and input, comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment
10+ years of consulting experience and background preferred.
Experience with IT governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks
Fluency in Finance Accounting and FP&A functional processes, SOX controls and audit processes, and related ITGC, HR and employee enabling technologies, and other corporate technologies
Strong business acumen and an understanding of product and technology transformation with effective agile development and thinking.
Excellent leadership capability to recruit, develop, inspire, and empower talent and build high-performing teams
Proven ability to build an organization that is “in service to” our employees and customers while delivering operational excellence and continuous improvement
Experience leading a globally distributed organization and working with remote teams
