Frequently Asked Questions - Quick answers to the most important questions
How can I identify a CHEP pallet?
CHEP pallets are very easy to identify. They are painted blue and have the corporate logo marked on them or have “Property of CHEP” or “Owned by CHEP” labelled on them to make them unmistakable in the market. We only pick up our equipment.
Does CHEP collect all different sizes of pallets?
Yes. With the largest pallet pooling network in the world, some CHEP pallets might have arrived at your site from overseas. If this is the case, you may see the following marks which indicate CHEP ownership: Owned by “CHEP UK Limited”, “Owned by GKN CHEP Limited”, “Eigendom CHEP Benelux”, “Prop.de CHEP Benelux”, “Propriete CHEP Benelux”, “Propriete CHEP France SA”, “Eigentum CHEP Deutschland GmbH”, “Eigentum der CHEP Deutschland GmbH”, “Propriedad de CHEP Espana SA”, “Proprieta CHEP Italia”, “Iδιοκτησία CHEP Hellas”.
What if I have blue pallets that are broken or damaged?
We also collect broken pallets, repair them and put them back into circulation. If they can't be repaired, we recycle them. By doing this, we all take care of the environment.
Can I resell blue pallets?
CHEP pallets always remain the property of CHEP. Any sale, trade or secondary usage of CHEP pallets is strictly prohibited.
How do I exchange blue pallets?
Blue pallets are not exchanged. CHEP will pick them up for free and put them back into circulation in the supply chain. You are only one click away from a free blue pallet collection, just click here.
